Through this sponsorship, we will cooperate in the creation of a better community in Kamiina.

Investment in Green Bonds in Nagano Prefecture
In fiscal 2020, Nagano Prefecture began issuing Green Bonds as an initiative aimed at achieving (mitigating) virtually zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in 2050 and avoiding or mitigating (adapting) damage caused by natural disasters attributable to climate change.
We intend to contribute to the environmental measures of Nagano Prefecture through the investment in the "Nagano Prefectural Green Bond" this time.
Efforts for Energy Saving and Clean Energy
For the adoption of energy saving and clean energy, we are making "installation of solar panels on the rooftop of a factory (Minamidaira Plant)" and "100% use of renewable energy (Hakodate Plant and Minamidaira Plant)."
Through the 100% use of renewable energy at the Hakodate and Minamidaira Plants, we have reduced CO2 emissions from potential use to virtually zero. Because the annual power consumed by both sites is approximately 940,700kWh, the amount is approximately 382t-CO2 on a CO2 conversion basis. (Fiscal 2021 Results)

Tote bags made from scrap materials
Because the canvas for awnings is made-to-order and manufactured in-house, it inevitably generates scraps. Waste materials that were previously subject to disposal are reused as tote bags named "Ruby Bag".
The canvas for awnings also has the advantages of being durable and having water repellent processing.
