Our Office Furniture Division has produced original high value-added products by drawing on state-of-the-art design and manufacturing technologies. We will strive to create new concepts by actively employing advanced ideas and approaches.
Production of some 1,000 types of office chairs
Our Office Furniture Division manufactures a wide variety of chairs, including swivel chairs and conference room and theater chairs. The division is also responsible for developing and producing other office furniture, such as conference room tables, desks for SOHO business users and telephone stands. We have an especially strong presence in the office chair market, with an approximately one-quarter share of the market. Our office chair lineup comprises some 1,000 types, and we boast the largest production volume in Japan. Takano-produced chairs are increasingly found outside offices and boardrooms in such places as theaters and other public facilities.
Responding to diversifying needs
Based on substantial accumulated technologies, including sewing, plastic mold processing, surface finishing, and urethane technology, we are pushing ahead with development of valuable products that will meet the needs of the market by taking full advantage of CAD/CAM systems, computer analysis and human engineering. For example, we have marketed office furniture that can be manufactured with recycled materials to help protect the environment. To satisfy the needs of an increasingly information-oriented society, we offer an extensive lineup of chairs designed for IT equipment users.
